teotihuacan

We climbed to the top of the third largest pyramid in the world! We took an hour long bus ride out of Mexico City to Teotihuacan. Despite the temperate weather in Mexico City, the ruins get very hot and the 3 litres of water we brought almost wasn't enough.

It was very awe inspiring to see the scale of the ruins and to think about all the work that must have gone into building them thousands of years ago.

  2. I'd LOVE to visit Teotihuacan... what an amazing bit of history. I've visited the yucatan ruins (Tulum, Chichen Itza) and some lesser known mayan pyramids in Belize... They were incredible to see!

I went here before and it is spectacular, but I have an issue with heights. So after I got to the top I had to practically crawl on all fours on the way down because my legs were trembling. Yeah, pretty embarrassing.

  10. Thanks everyone!

MG - We have about 80 lbs. (between the two of us) of stuff. Check out the 'gear' posts we've done.

Danielle - Not much! It's kind of boring wearing the same items all the time. T-Shirts, a few light dresses, work-out clothes, a cardigan, and a pashmina.

    Sam - Alex's hat is a painter's cap from H&M.
