Our favorite restaurant in Puerto Viejo, was Loco Natural. We welcomed the wholesome, organic food after days of eating junk. It's the only restaurant we've seen for months that serves brown rice. "World-fusion" dishes and exotic juices had us coming back day after day. The Caribbean Madras Curry, Thai Citrus Peanut Chicken, and Maylasian Guayaba Green Curry were some of the most delicious items on the menu.

Live music and dim lighting added to the laid back atmosphere. We often find restaurants we love and are sad to leave a place because we know we probably won't be able to eat there again.

  3. Too bad you can't go back after you visit Thailand and Malaysia (if they are on your itinerary) and see how they compare to the real thing! The food design is amazing though. Safe travels!

Makes me want a cool, icy, fruity drink just thinking about it.

  12. Loco Natural is very popular in the area and has been around for quite a while. Many of our guests at Hotel Banana Azul enjoy dinners there as well.
