brussels

On our second last day in Cairo we found a flight deal to Brussels. For an amazingly low fare we could get out of the city that we loved to hate and move onto somewhere a little more sophisticated.

Our visit to Brussels included engaging museums and galleries, zombies, and, as always, a lot of food!

  5. I had to laugh at your description of Brussels as sophisticated. We did enjoy the city very much, but our experience was quite the opposite! I'm guessing you didn't visit the Manneken Pis statute while you were there.

  6. I went to Brussels a long time ago when we were moving from Italy to England - we only stayed a night but I loved it...especially the food - chocolate and waffles!

  7. Brussels seems like a nice change of pace. Sorry Cairo turned out to be so hectic. It sucks when a destination falls short of your expectations :(

  9. i hear brussels is a gorgeous city. i hope you are loving it. i did visit pacaya a couple days ago. it was really nice, but i didn't get to go close to the lava because it erupted just a month or so ago. so, i guess it was a little to dangerous to go up to the top. maybe i'll get to see red lava somewhere else. take care.
