Looks like a gorgeous place to meet people. You're so lucky to live in Montreal.

  2. Yeah,I'd say that statue/monument is anything but inconspicuous. :) Will you be sharing photos of said foliage? I know the oranges and reds and yellows are all things we're craving this time of year. As for this weekend? We've got a trip to Indianapolis tomorrow, and there's a 1812 reenactment in the area, too, if we want to go. You have a good weekend!

  3. We were on the East Coast earlier this year and I was sad that we had to leave before we got to enjoy fall.

I just wanted to say that I love your blog in general and especially this post, because it shows one of my favourite things to do when I'm in Quebec.

  5. I always wanted to make my first sculpture of george-étienne cartier statue in chinese jade. It will definitely be an artistic milestone for me.

  6. That angel at the top -- I want to put that on top of our bali gazebo in Perth. That's a silly idea, but I can really imagine how our backyard would standout from the rest.

  7. Mont Royal is, by far, the most relaxing place I've visited in Montreal. I have a lot of memories in that place, specially in front of the statue, so when I got back home before my backyard was finished, I requested my friend architects in the Philippines to leave a space at the center so I can put a statue similar to that. Thanks for the picture. I hope you can put a copyright label so I can print it.

  8. This has a classic design that inspired most of my outdoor sign designs. I love the whole charm of statues. Their hue and silhouette is grand.

  9. Did they just modified the picture? I think there's a more appropriate term for that in art it's what do we call Pop Art which was popularized by Andy Warhol. This kind of art is so popular that even advertising agencies are using it, though I think, the concept was kinda limited to some pictures and ideas.
