autumn in upstate new york

I just looked up the date of the first day of winter - it's on December 21st. That seems kind of absurd. As trick-or-treating kids in Winnipeg, we were lucky if the snow hadn't fallen before Hallowe'en so that we wouldn't have to amend our costumes to vampire/cat/witch in a snowsuit. I think the prairies are already covered with snow, but it's still very much autumn on the east coast. These photos from our trip to Upstate New York remind me that I need to get out more before it gets too cold to want to. - Mina

  7. I can't get over these gorgeous colors. We just don't get that in Texas!! I'm about to move to Australia, so I doubt I'll get it there either. I think fall is always going to elude me!

  9. Woow I really like the pictures you took there! Makes one want to take an autumn walk as well. Unfortunately it has been raining for days here in Germany and it doesn't seem to stop. At least your shots prove that there are places in the world where autumn can be nice :)

  10. Your photographs are beautiful! Such great light. My husband and I just returned from a trip upstate, and I was sad to see most of the trees bare already!

  18. Gorgeous!! I love your photos and your style as well :) Living in California, we don't get too much of a drastic autumn, but I wish we did!
