Ray’s Kiawe Broiled Chicken

On those really hot days, when all you want to is find a body of cold water to throw yourself into, I don't think too much about food. I especially don't want hot food. Rotisserie chicken is something I personally equate with cold Canadian days and definitely not with palm trees and flip flops.

Ray's Kiawe Broiled Chicken, in Haleiwa (on the North Shore of Oahu), came highly recommended and Alex wanted to try some Huli Huli Chicken. I stole a piece of his order and it lives up to the acclaim.

Later in the day, I was craving something fresh, so we headed to The Beet Box Cafe where we shared a some avocado toast and a salad - quite the opposite of our previous meal but equally satisfying in an entirely different way. - Mina

Ahh, we were just there and I'm still dreaming about that chicken. I wish I knew about The Beet Box. It looks good! I'm excited to read about your travel blogs from Hawaii to see where we overlapped.
